Brock University, Arnie Lowenberger Residence

The Arnie Lowenberger Residence was built to commemorate Arnie Lowenberger, who had been a prevalent force at Brock University since 1967; first, as a director of the physical education program, and later as the first Dean of Students. Instrumental in the establishment of the first Student Health Services and Department of Residences, it is only fitting that a residence be named in his honour.

The new residence required a mix of single and double dormitory style rooms on four levels. Other amenities include a common lounge in each hall, full-service kitchen, large dining hall, laundry facilities, as well as student and faculty offices. The design interconnects alternate floors providing greater opportunity for student interaction and boundary crossing between disciplines. This residence was completed using a construction management method of delivery.

This project was developed in association with Teeple Architects Inc.
